Technobotanical Herbarium,
2022
Technobotanical Herbarium is conceived as a graphic exploration that envisions a vegetal cyborgization responding to our dystopian imperatives through biosynthetic technologies. Botanical engravings from 1799, originally published in Description des plantes nouvelles et peu connues, are reconfigured through hybridization with a Text-to-Image model, thereby rendering visible the cyber-evolution of selected plant species. Ultimately, AI-generated videos are composed in montage, juxtaposing their mechanisms of technification in order to interrogate the shifting boundaries between nature, artifice, and machine.
